Just a few hours before Shari’s B-Day

Shrieks were flooding our house with some occasional thuds and bursts of loud laughter after coming out of our restroom.

“Teka, ‘wag niyo pong pisatin. Kawawa naman”. (Please, don’t squish that poor thingie.)

Look at it. Cute, isn’t it?

Now mom, cackling loudly as ever, seemed to enjoy her beasty, nasty feast on the poor little creature between her delicate, yet meaty fingers.

Yes, I know. Lizards don’t eat orchids. Just making fun of that little lizard.

“Ang cute naman sa malapitan…” (So cute up close), dazzled upon a closer look at its little scales which appeared more like hairless fleshy skin from far away.

Mom is really good at catching those critters during her childhood years. ‘Til college, mom added, as she cited her experience with the rats she caught barely with her own hands. “At naka-dress pa ako nun, ah” (And I was all dressed up that time), she told me.

A proud, county girl would do that. Growing up on a wide farmland in Aklan, Mom has been the beauty, yet the beasty little lady who chased carabaos puddling in mud, ran after her 13 dogs to chase off chicken thieves, threw a dagger on one handsome lad’s foot after insulting Nora Aunor, bruised and scratched her arms while clinging on coconut tree leaves just to hide from his father, ate pineapples, turnips, peanuts and lanzones while their crowns and peelings stayed as if untouched, and at her peak of her popularity, chased by a 5 meter reticulated python she failed to kill with her bolo (that bounced off after hitting the snake).

Eto Neil, pikchuran mo na…. Whoaahahahahah!” (Here, Neil, take pictures of it), my joyful Mom cried.

Now, with the looks of her ego-tripping today, it’s obviously haunting her. Entertainingly.

Uhmmm… no mom. You won’t eat another lizard, will you?

Mom, no. It needs to live. Don’t deprive its right to privacy. It has kids, you know.

OH MY UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF ANIMAL RIGHTS, MOMMY NO!

Of course, she didn’t gobble up that poor lizard. Mom’s perfectly normal, after she tried to pull me away from uploading these pics to my Multiply.

No, not because of her frustration that my hundred grand from Eat Bulaga made goners already (As a matter of pak, she refilled my bank account for maintenance.) She’s happy and contented. Content. Whatever. (Content sounds funny, isn’t it?).

Mom is the best mommy in the whole wide world. After all that we’ve been through.

Eating house lizards? Hell, who in the world would ever do that?

Oh I know. If the Brits can turn them into chocolates, why not a Filipino make Kitkats out of cockroaches?

(Pukes)

Shari’s BEERDAY will be tonight at her crib. Yeah, that big bulky Shari inviting every guy on the blogosphere to fit in her crib. Imagine that. Will be squished by her later. Hahah! Am not sure. Should I bring a cake or what?

lol Your mom’s cute. Anyway, lizards look okay from a distance or up close in a picture. I just can’t stand looking at those things crawl at the ceiling. Once, one of those fell on my back.. inside my t-shirt. I shrieked, shouted and cried until the maid helped me. Disgusting!

Ah, lizards. I did not dare touch one. But I’m impressed with their — what was that again? — survival mechanism? Yung natatanggal ang buntot nila. Haha. Lol.

Yeah, the word content sounds funny.

That experience is so hilarious. Hahaha! I just can’t imagine how you looked like when that nasty critter crawls on your back. Hahah!

    You have a maid? Ugh… Yaman! :-p

Yeah, the word content sounds funny.

IT sounds funny when used. Like, “I’m already content”. Huh? I dunno.

It’s my self rule. When English words sound funny when used, it’s wrong. But after checking the dictionary, huh? Content? OMG. I felt awful.

Our resident reptiles will beat your house reptile! Ours are exhibitionists, y’know, humping each other on the ceiling without giving a rat’s ass! Want mine and yours to cross-breed or something? Hehe.

Holy Mother of Cunts! Your mom’s such a cute little photowhore! Love her already! :-)

Prang gummy bears sa lambot, you couldn’t resist to squish it. hehe.

kung may laser pointer ka, try mo utuin ang mga lizard sa ceiling by focusing the laser light malapit sa mga critters and made them follow. they (lizards) think the light is an insect (cguro)(firefly) and they try to chase it (since when did I know about how or what lizards think?). aun share ko lng, just for fun. haha.

are you going this coming 23, 2nd taste asia event?

Huhu :(

I understand you. Pero may kinatatakutan rin ang mom ko.
Takot siya sa snake after that 5-meter long sawa incident.
Ako? Sa ipis. Basta kahit anong ipis of any size and species.

ang ganda nung 2nd photo (with the flower) very artistic :D

Hay. Artistic nga. Pero overexposed ang photo. Huhuhu.

Hahaha. No, it’s pseudo mother’s day. Hahah!

Our resident reptiles will beat your house reptile! Ours are exhibitionists, y’know, humping each other on the ceiling without giving a rat’s ass! Want mine and yours to cross-breed or something? Hehe.

OMG. Focking lizards making in public. They’re sooo low-class. Have no sense of privacy. Hhaha. Cross-breed? Lizards might shout ‘public rape’ if we make them do it.

Isn’t a gecko a lizard? No, we don’t squish animals. We luurrve Mother Nature.

Nagawa ko na rin yan with cats, dogs, and stupid animals alike (oh, didn’t i just say I luuurve mother nature?) Hahaha

    i suggest a manicure.
    healthy yun sa body. :)

I don’t fockin care. Update your blog, you amphibian :-p

The lizard’s not dead. It’s so lucky to have itself publicized on the WWW. :-)

Lol. I don’t know why but I always check the dictionary when I use the word “content” even though I’ve already checked it numerous times. It’s, as what you have said, funny.

  20. 20 Hyro Aug 25th, 2007 at 7:33 am Quote

Haha. Morbid! :)

@ shari – Masama kang nilalang!

Hahahaha :-p

@ christian – Same here, and you know what? I always hear it from kris. We know the fact that Kris is such a grammar nazi.

Lol :-D )
