I don’t know if you guys might find this post a helluva fanboyish or something but I’ve never been addicted to another song since Utada Hikaru drenched me to emotional breakdown with her “Flavor of Life –Ballad Version-” played behind Tsukushi Makino and Domyouji Tsukasa (of Hana Yori Dango 2) bidding farewells. I’m also very sure that you are ultra aware that I am a huge fan of Charice as well. Though I haven’t posted any updates about my child idol with her international success (I still awe at her videos uploaded and removed thereafter on Youtube), I’ll always be a top Charice fan.
Okay, that was obviously a big scramble of thoughts. I know I’m not getting any better at writing these days (blame it on my half-baked sponsored posts).
For the last few months, I’ve been busy Plurking about Pinoy Dream Academy, along with my Plurk buddies Doc Tess and Flowell. And whenever it’s Gala Performance Night of PDA scholars, I always made sure that I won’t miss an episode (which on the recent Gala night I failed to accomplish—thank you). But of course, I always make it a point to comment on each performances… how I liked it, how I hated it, how I hated the guest juror, and how I prefer the entire show more than the crap spewed out on Pinoy Idol (may it rest in peace for good).
And now, after a very very long wait, Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 finalists finally released their album jam packed with songs composed and written by the maestro himself Mr. Ryan Cayabyab. Dubbed “Scholars Sing Cayabyab”, this collection consists of 10 tracks of Cayabyab’s newly composed songs with some favorite classics performed by the top 10 scholars (in no particular order) Bugoy, Laarni, Van, Liezel, Inaki, Cris, Apple, Bunnie, Sen and Miguel.
1. Paano Na Kaya? by Jay “Bugoy” Bogayan
2. Manalig Ka by Laarni Losala
3. Another Goodbye Song by Van Louelle Pojas
4. I’d Rather by Maria Liezel Garcia
5. Hero by Miguel Mendoza
6. Limang Dipang Tao by Apple Abarquez
7. Ganon Ba by Rafael Ignacio “Iñaki” Ting
8. Bakit Ganyan by Cristina Pastor
9. Wala Kang Katulad by Hansen Nichols
10. Narito Lang Ako by Jovannie “Bunny” Mallinda
11. Awit ng Pangarap by Yeng Constantino
Speaking of the album, do you remember when Ryan Cayabyab asked the scholars to perform his masterpiece ‘Paano na Kaya’ (I know you liked it too) and ended up Bugoy performing the whole song for everybody? Well, this album has that very beautiful. Yup! “Paano na Kaya” by Jay Bogayan! And you know what? I’ve been playing this song for so many times already! With loud speakers, for crying out loud.
Here’s the lyrics:
“Paano Na Kaya” by Jay ‘Bugoy’ Bogayan
Listen to MP3: Jay \”Bugoy\” Bogayan – Paano Na Kaya
