Digitally framed

02 Dec 2007

My dad used to design picture frames when he was still working in Shenzhen, China. Most of the designs that his employers would want him to create are a hybrid of neo-classical and post-modern varieties. That’s why here in our house, we have tons of his prototypes delivered straight to our hands with our funny family pics displayed inside.

Then one time, my Dad pinged me about this so-called digital picture frame that he saw on TV which he needed to design. I was, as usual, very skeptic at first. Why make the picture frames digital if you might run out of batteries if you display it 24/7. To give you a clearer pictures, it’s a kind of ‘picture’ frame, only that the picture files are uploaded to the digital pic frame and can display a slideshow of all the pics uploaded. And they can be battery operated or plugged into your socket.

Glad my dad was just designing how the digital frame would like and not create one.
